Prediction Arena is built on smart contracts. Smart contracts can contain bugs. We mitigate this risk through independent audits, internal review, a continuous bug bounty program, and a non-upgradeable design that constrains the impact of any individual issue. We do not, and cannot, eliminate the risk entirely.
Prediction Arena’s settlement depends on an external oracle network. If the oracle is delayed, settlement is delayed. If the oracle network were ever compromised at the protocol level, settlement could be affected. We chose a first-party oracle with a strong publisher set specifically to minimize this risk.
Polygon is a public blockchain. Network outages, congestion, and reorgs are possible. None of these put your funds at risk of theft, but they may delay round operations.
You are responsible for the security of your own wallet. If you lose your seed phrase, sign a malicious transaction in another app, or fall victim to a phishing scam, we cannot recover your funds. We will never DM you first. We will never ask for your seed phrase.
