Prediction Arena supports spot gold (XAU) and silver (XAG) prediction markets. These are some of the oldest and most-traded assets in the world, and they bring a few quirks that we handle explicitly.

The metals quirk: weekend liquidity

Metals trade nearly 24/5, but liquidity collapses during weekends, holidays, and the gap between Friday close and Sunday open. Most platforms settle on whatever number happens to be on the screen at those moments — which is often a stale, wide, untradeable quote. Prediction Arena does not. Each metals market has a tighter confidence-interval threshold than our crypto markets. If the signed oracle reading at round-end shows a confidence interval above that threshold, settlement is automatically delayed until liquidity returns. Player funds remain locked safely in the contract during the delay; the round simply resolves as soon as a clean reading is available. This is intentional. We would rather delay a round than settle it on a number nobody could actually have traded.

What you’re predicting

Same as every other Prediction Arena market: above or below the strike, when the round ends. No futures roll, no contango, no storage costs, no “spot vs. perpetual” gotchas.
